CROWN & SHADOW is an unofficial desktop companion app featuring eight performers inspired by the characters and atmosphere of the musical Elisabeth. Choose your cast and enjoy their elegant walks, expressive gestures, and small theatrical moments as you work.

👑 Meet the Cast

Select your performers and welcome them straight onto your desktop. Tod, Elisabeth, Franz Joseph, Luigi Lucheni, Rudolf, Sophie, Young Rudolf, and the Black Angel. (Role names are used automatically, but you can rename them anytime!)

✨ Features

• Create Your Stage: Choose from 8 performers and display up to 4 at once.
• Dynamic Performances: Each character walks independently and performs even when alone. Discover role-specific gestures, graceful poses, and stage greetings.
• Synchronized Acting: Nearby performers will occasionally begin their gestures together.
• Window Interactions: Performers occasionally react to the edges of your open windows.
• Customization: Preview, add, replace, rename, hide, or remove performers in the settings. Adjust their size, walking speed, and performance frequency.
• Audio: Optional sound effects (turned off by default).
• Multilingual Support: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and Thai.

• Right-click a performer for individual controls and specific gestures.
• Double-click a performer to instantly trigger a performance.
• Drag a performer to move them around your screen.
• System Tray: Use the crown icon in the Windows notification area to open settings or exit.

💻 Downloads & Requirements

Windows — v0.2.0

• OS: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). The required .NET runtime is included.
• Installer Edition: Run the Setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
• Portable Edition: Extract the entire ZIP, then run CrownAndShadow.exe. Keep the Data folder with the app when moving it.

macOS — v0.1.2, Build 4

• Universal Installer: One download for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
• Download: REVUELET-CrownAndShadow-Mac-0.1.2-build4-Universal.dmg
• Installation: Open the DMG and follow the installation instructions inside.

Before updating: Close the app and back up your saved cast and settings.

🔒 Privacy & Saved Data

All settings and performer data are stored locally. Window reactions use window boundaries only; the app does not read the contents of other applications. Note for Portable Edition: Saves data beside the executable. Close the app before moving or backing up its folder.

• Content: The app does not recreate the musical’s storyline and includes no music or dialogue from the production.
